Clubs in Geneva

L’Usine (Zoo, PTR, Le Rez, Kalvingrad)

Geneva’s alternative heart, at Place des Volontaires 4. L’Usine has been a self-run cultural centre since 1989, home to around twenty collectives. For dancing there’s the Zoo: techno, trance and queer nights, often until morning. For gigs it’s PTR and Kalvingrad. Prices are fair and the crowd is mixed. Bring some cash and an open mind.

La Gravière

A club and live venue “with a background of independent culture”, as it puts it. La Gravière switches between afrobeats, dancehall, bass, jungle and live hip-hop nights, and has a “Gravisphère” season pass for regulars.

Motel Campo

On Route des Jeunes in Les Acacias, Motel Campo is where Geneva’s collectives throw their house and techno nights.

Audio Club

Geneva’s “serious” electronic club: Audio Club brings in international house and techno names between its resident nights.

Clubs in Lausanne

MAD

Lausanne’s big one. MAD has five floors, each with its own vibe (Mainfloor, La Mezza, Chandelier, Jetlag and the Zoo in the basement). Reggaeton, 90s, house, a Sunday gay night: you’ll find all of it, often on the same night.

D! Club

A Lausanne institution that turns 30 on 19 October 2026, thirty years to the day after it opened. D! Club mixes big electronic names with student nights, and Grandmaster Flash plays the birthday.

Folklor

Smaller and cosier, Folklor celebrates 10 years this season with carefully booked house and disco nights. It’s the kind of place you go to for the DJ.

Le Romandie

In the Flon (Place de l’Europe 1a), Le Romandie has gigs early in the evening and turns into a club after 11 pm: dub, Y2K and queer nights. For rock and indie gigs, head to Les Docks in Sévelin.

Tips for a night out

Check the time on the flyer: in both cities, plenty of nights only really get going after midnight. Bring ID (many clubs are 18+). Getting home, the weekend night buses and night trains are lifesavers. To see what’s on, open tonight, this weekend or our techno, Geneva and Lausanne pages.
